(Our Tech Blog) Google Android devices are mostly running with Android Froyo as per new figures released by Google. The total of 55.9% users are using Android devices running with Froyo which is 31.6% more than Gingerbread users.
The newest version of Android, i.e. Gingerbread catches only 24.3% of devices whereas the Éclair version dropping its percentage from 21.2 % to 15.2%. Where as the honeycomb based tablet pcs such as Motorola Xoom and Asus Eee Pad gains only 1.3%.
However, Google is developing their next version of Android, code-named “Ice Cream” is expected to get release by end of this year. The next version is also said to be work with both smartphones and tablets without modification
